We get the house tomorrow. I pretty much can't focus on anything else, so here are some pictures in the meantime.
Birthday cake! This cake lasted all of two days in our kitchen. Maybe I shouldn't admit that out loud...
What I find on the camera when I ask my BH to take a picture of me. Yeah. Pretty much.
First thing's first: it was hailing today. I was in the Glebe running errands, and then ice pellets fell from the sky. ICE PELLETS! Did any of you see it? I even have photographic evidence!
I was so surprised that I barely got my camera out in time.
How is your Thanksgiving weekend going, Canadian folks? Mine is going swimmingly. Last night, we had dinner with my parents, my Bubbi and my Uncle Keven (biologically not an uncle, but family nonetheless). We perused my mom's Joy of Cooking from 1973, which included recipies and instructions for cooking squirrel, beaver, woodchuck, peccary and wild boar. Please note the nasty pictures on how to skin all these animals.

Here are some random pictures from my recent adventures, all completely out of order thanks to Blogger's terrible photo uploading system.
First, I snapped this pic at the art show in Toronto. This woman has two things I covet: A kick ass dress (stripes! belt!), and a Righteous Babe tattoo on her back. I wanted to bring her back to Ottawa with me.
This woman was watching Shawna play her set. Yes, she has two pugs in her bike basket, and one pug purse over her shoulder. (I think she likes pugs)
I sympathise as a self-proclaimed bulldog obsessed gal. But slap me if I ever buy a purse that looks exactly like Morty.
My folks are fabulous, no?
Rachel and I trying to eat messy cake on a busy sidewalk. We were completely covered in chocolate by the end of the experiment. My BH pretty much took pictures and laughed at us the whole time. Thankfully, Rach had a container of wet wipes in her purse, because she hangs out with kids more often than I do.
My two boys...
Morty actually runs like this at the park. He can't see where he's going, but he still has a blast. He hasn't run into anyone so far. So far.
I've had some amazing shots of Morty just sitting around on my computer. Problem is, the photos were too massive to upload to the blog. Also, my internet was too slow to download a program to make the pictures smaller. You see my frustration?
Anyway, I've just spent an hour swearing and growling at the computer, and it finally seems to have listened up. WISE CHOICE, MACHINE. You have no idea what kind of a mood I'm in.
And really? I can't keep these pictures to myself.
Would you look at that face?
We were all napping in the sun, and holy shitballs, it was warm.
Lucy the hound was visiting at the time. Morty loves her something fierce, if you catch my drift. In a more-than-friends kind of way. It gets a little heated sometimes.
Morty says goodnight, UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL. That's a full-on camera nuzzle for you.
I need to catch up on some much needed sleep. I'll write an update on the Irene's gig tomorrow! With photos! Photos that aren't the size of a billboard!
Isn't he the greatest? Seriously.
That is one happy dog.
Thanks for the photos, Milan!
Turns out I have a lot of pictures just sitting around on my camera. Why not show them to you folks, am I right?
This is me taking a picture of my sister whilst drunk in Peterborough. That's why you can see my finger instead of her lovely face. Beer is a dangerous thing. So are fingers!

This is Heather and I wearing sparkly wrestling masks in the kitchen. Then we went and drank White Russians with our neighbours across the street. I love living where I live.
